Hey senior!!! It’s about time we start thinking about where you want to take your senior portraits. If you’re a high school student in the Berks County or Montgomery County areas, I have the best guide to senior photo locations for you! These are coming straight from my experience guides that I send out to all my seniors after booking. (If you’re still searching for your senior photographer, learn more about my services here!)
The first thing you want to consider when choosing a location for your senior session, is what kind of scenery you want. This could be a field, garden, an urban location, or lots of trees. You’ll also want to think about the season. You might want to get ahead of the game and take your senior photos before the school year starts with an August session. (This is my fav time for summer sunsets and flowers!) The most popular time of year to schedule your senior session is in the fall. October is the best time to capture the fall foliage – bonus if you’re involved in a fall sport. Your last chance for senior portraits is in the spring. April and May is a great time to photograph in gardens and see all the blooms. I love the cherry blossoms this time of year!
Let’s check out my top field locations!

- Daniel Boone Homestead: This local Birdsboro location is a frequent of mine. I always recommend this spot for seniors who want a good view of the sunset in big grassy fields. It’s my go-to for golden hour! At the Daniel Boone homstead, you also have tons of rustic details like the wooden fences, wooden bridge, and cabins. This Berks County fav also has plenty of wooded trails throughout. (Super convenient for Daniel Boone high school and Exeter high school seniors!)
- The Wyomissing Trails: If you’re looking for tall, grassy fields for your senior photos the Wyomissing trails is the ultimate spot. The entire park is covered in tall grass year round. It’s a great location in Berks County for golden hour. Plus, it’s local to the Reading Public Museum and Penn Avenue if you choose one of my packages with 2 locations. As a bonus, there’s a large pine tree trail surrounding the park. (The Wyomising Trails is within great distance from Schuykill Valley high school, Wilson high school, Wyomissing Area high school, Governor Mifflin high school, Berks Catholic high school, Antietam high school, and Exeter high school.)
- Warwick County Park: For the Chester County and Montgomery County area seniors, Warwick Park is a great spot to meet for your session. This little park has overgrown grassy fields throughout the summer and even some wildflowers in early August. (I know these are a favorite for senior portraits!) There are also a few trails and a wooden fishing dock for that natural feel. This is always a top recommendation for students at Daniel Boone high school, Twin Valley high school, Owen J Roberts high school, and Pottstown and Pottsgrove high schools.
See my favorite garden locations!

- Reading Public Museum: This is my favorite garden spot located right in Berks County, PA. The Reading Museum completely blooms in the springtime. This my top recommended location for senior photos in April and May. It’s the perfect photo location for seniors who want to capture all the florals at the end of their senior year. There’s also some great views for golden hour here. (The museum is within great distance from Schuykill Valley high school, Wilson high school, Wyomissing Area high school, Governor Mifflin high school, Berks Catholic high school, Antietam high school, and Exeter high school. It’s also an easy drive for Daniel Boone high school, Twin Valley high school, and Boyertown high school students.)
- Malcom Gross Rose Gardens (aka Allentown Rose Gardens): This is my personal favorite location to drive up to for the garden feel for any senior sessions. The willow trees here are the best in the area. While it’s technichally located in Lehigh Valley, it’s not a bad drive for Berks County and Montgomery county students. Here, there’s also a beautiful creek with wooden bridges to walk over. There’s plenty of stone pathways and gazebos. I highly recommend this location for June senior photos to catch all the roses in bloom.
Look at my fall favorites!

- Ironstone Park in Boyertown: This Montgomery County fall fav is right in Boyertown. I adore this spot in October for the full trees and gorgeous creek. It’s the perfect spot for any fall senior session. I always recommend this spot for any Berks County or Montgomery County seniors in the fall time because it’s perfectly between the two areas. It’s super close for Daniel Boone high school and Boyertown high school students.
- French Creek State Park: Another fall location I love is French Creek. This Berks County state park is a great place to catch fall foliage. If you want creeks and lakes in your senior portraits, you can’t go wrong with this spot. It’s located right in Birdsboro so it’s very convenient for Daniel Boone high school and Exeter high school seniors.
If you’re looking for something unique…

- Ott’s Exotic Plants in Shwenksville: If you’re a senior who loves all things plants and flowers, you have to add this location to your list. (I’d especially recommend this for any seniors planning to go to college for horticulture or anything nature related!) This is my favorite greenhouse in the Berks County and Montomgery County areas. Not only is this location full of flowers and fun plants, like succulents, there’s also a waterfall! You simply cannot get a senior portrait location quite like this one anywhere else.
- Lock Ridge Furnace Museum: This Lehigh County location is so different from the rest. It’s an easy drive for any Berks County or Montgomery County seniors. There’s a ton of stone structures and arches here that frame a beautiful and unique senior portrait. This place can give a castle-like feel! There’s also a wooden bridge here as well as a nice field. If you time it right, we could catch the blue bell blooms here in May.
- Penn Avenue in West Reading: If you’re a city girl, this is the perfect senior portrait location for you! I love walking around Penn Avenue with seniors for a session that’s super different and unique. The colorful murals are my favorite part. We can always stop for ice cream at Sweet Ride Ice Cream or Boba Tea at Winnie Tea bar to really add some personality. This is a great location pick for any Berks County or Montomgery County student.
If you’re feeling confident in your location preferences, let’s get your session on my calendar! My style when it comes to senior portraits is natural, yet vivid and full of laughter. I’m dedicated to guiding you through each pose and really making sure you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. It’s all about having fun and capturing this time in your life.
