Kendall’s Spring Senior Portraits at the Reading Museum in Berks County, PA

8/04/23

Some seniors just know what to do when it comes to styling an outfit and striking a pose! Kendall is one of those girls. I’m so glad I brought my portable changing tent for the hangers full of clothes she brought. I love senior that comes prepared with options!

This evening consisted of on and off rain. We kept our fingers crossed that we could make it through her session without having to reschedule. It was May and senior season was coming to a close. Thankfully, we completed Kendall’s senior session with only a bit of misty rain. Because of the dark skies, we were very limited for light. I knew this gallery would look a little moodier than my typical golden hour photos. I decided to lean into it Kendall’s deep purple gown. The starry print against the lavender flower bulbs were so magical. We go creative in this perennial garden- a Reading Museum staple. I positioned my lens through the flowers and even prompted Kendall to lay in the grass.

While Kendall is known for her adorable fashion sense, we decided to add in a more casual look for her gallery. She stuck with a simple sweater and jeans, but she had to include to statement floral converse. With her casual outfit, I wanted to reflect that with some more casual poses. She posed on one of the museum benches with her head on her hand. I just love this pose!

What’s a senior photo session without a college announcement?! Kendall brought along her Pitt t-shirt to show off her commitment to the University of Pittsburg. I love all the cheesy smiles in this set. It truly portrays all the excitement of going off to college.

For our her last outfit of the night, Kendall swapped into a very Spring-like floral dress. This pop of blue was the perfect choice to end the night. To our luck, the sun finally came out for this last set of photos. I positioned Kendall right along the bridge on Museum Road. The sun peaked behind her for the perfect golden shots overlooking the creek.

More so than this gorgeous senior portrait gallery, I had the best time chatting with Kendall and her mom throughout her session. They are such a sweet mother-daughter pair. I truly loving forming connections with each and every client of mine. If you think we’d get along just fine, I’d love to be your senior portrait photographer. Let’s get you in my calendar!
