Last November, I had the privilege of photographing a blended family from the Douglassville area. They wanted to capture the beauty of the sweater season, so we chose a location at the local Daniel Boone Homestead in Berks County, Pennsylvania.
To make their photo session even more exciting, this family followed my Style Guide for outfit tips perfectly. They color coordinated, wearing burnt orange colors, olive tones, browns, and denim. This added a cohesive and visually appealing look to their family portraits.
One thing I’m totally obsessed with is the wheat grass against the brown, leafless trees. It added such a rustic and earthy vibe to the pictures. The combination of brown and golden tones created a stunning backdrop for their end-of-Fall photos. The best part was the golden sun that cast a warm glow on the family. It added the perfect touch. The warm, golden light just made everything glow and gave the photos that extra magical touch.
Being a family photographer in Berks County, PA is such a rewarding experience. I get to witness the uniqueness of each family and capture their moments of love and joy. It’s especially special for me to highlight a blended family like this one. It’s moments like these that remind me why I chose to pursue family photography.
If you’re thinking of booking a family photo session, I would be honored to be your photographer. Whether it’s at a historic location like the Daniel Boone Homestead or another meaningful spot, I’ll be there to capture your family’s story.
