The spring sports season is officially here! I had the amazing opportunity to work with the Daniel Boone High School girls lacrosse team for their media day. As a DBHS lacrosse alumni, this was a real full circle moment for me. I had so much fun coming back to the school to meet the new team 4 years after graduation.

Media day is all about capturing content for the team that encapsulates the game day excitement. Let me just say, these girls did not hold back. They put on their game faces and literally screamed their heart out. I kept a list of poses for the girls to choose from including some action inspired and some relaxed poses. The team loved the ‘relax’ pose where they placed their stick behind their shoulders. They also were loving the ‘ground ball’ and ‘on defense’ poses.

The girls had the chance to get creative and have an all around good time. I tethered my camera to my laptop so they could see their photos in real time. I chose my navy blue backdrop to compliment their Daniel Boone Blazer blue uniforms. Everything about these photos give so much hype for the team. I know these game day posts are going to bring the crowds!

Let’s switch gears to senior portraits. Now is the time for all their girls in their senior season to schedule a spring senior session. April and May are prime times for senior photos. You get to include all the floral blooms and warmer weather. It’s never too early for juniors to start thinking about senior photos too! August will be here before we know it. I recommend a session between the months of August and October for the best senior session! (You can also make it into the studio if you want your senior portraits to look like these!)
