I took a little trip to the WCU campus for Kaitlyn’s graduation session. I never truly spent time in town so I decided to drive out early and grab dinner on Market Street. I wanted to try out Barnaby’s because it since I’ve see so many people enjoy it. I could not recommend it more! They seriously made the best burger I’ve had in a while! I brought friends along and we enjoyed our outside dining with live music. I will definitely plan to stop there again for my next trip to West Chester. It was such a convenient dinner spot because my session on campus was only a 2 minute drive!

When I arrived on campus, I met with Kaitlyn at the Philips Memorial Building/Asplunduh Historic building. This building had the most gorgeous historic architecture. I wanted this to be the first stop on our list. The archways, florals, and unique doors made a perfect backdrop. I mostly stuck to my more wide angle 35mm lens to incorporate the unique building into these photos.

On our way to the Old Library, we made a short stop at Recitation Hall where the majority of Kaitlyn’s classes were. These photos are a great memento of her time at WCU. At the Old Library, our main focus was the Rammy statue. You simply can’t forget your schools mascot during a grad session! We took a few shots with the statue and then we switched things up for a seated photo with the library in the background. These are so of my favorite photos because we got some genuine laughter out of Kaitlyn! Then we moved onto the library stairs for a few final poses.

Our last location on campus was the iconic fountain. I made sure to include the West Chester University sign to reference campus once again. In front of the fountain, we saved the champagne pop for the end This is always the most exciting, silly, and congratulatory part of the night. Just before wrapping up, I noticed an adorable patch of pink flowers that we had to get a photo in. I swapped to my 85mm lens for the perfect portrait bokeh. The golden sun finally peaked out in this set too! To conclude our session, Kaitlyn and I both needed to cool off from this hot afternoon of shooting. We made a deal to photograph her running through the fountain if I did it too afterwards! This made for some goofy photos to end her gallery with.
