Karlie and Joe are getting married in July of 2023 and they wanted to do something special for their engagement photos. As new homeowners, they thought an in-home session would be really unique. I was ecstatic to photograph this couple’s session in their cabin style a-frame home. It’s not something you see everyday in Berks County.

We started their session with snuggles on the couch! Luckily, they have some gorgeous natural lighting coming into their home from the large windows. The poses were a nice mix of hand holding, forehead kisses, and nose boops. I love the intimacy of these couples shots. They feel so cozy and true to Karlie and Joe. I think the black and white photos have such a romantic look.

Next, we headed over to the kitchen for pizza and wine. This session was the perfect excuse for a date night! Karlie requested a few shots of the two of them seated on the counter. These turned out to be my favorite photos of the gallery. I love how they wrapped their arms around each other. It felt like I was truly documenting their love story. When it was finally time to open up the white wine, I prompted them to cheers their glasses and just enjoy each other’s company. I was simply there to photograph the laughs and their interactions. They fed each other pizza and giggled away.

Something really important to Karlie and Joe was that we include their cat in their engagement session. It was so much fun playing with her and letting her roll around in catnip! She posed with the engagement ring and snuggled with her ‘pawrents’. As goofy as this cat is, she loves when Joe lifts her into the air. We made sure to capture some silly shots of it.

At the end of their session, we made our way outside. I wanted to wrap up this shoot with some photos of these two with the whole house. Buying your first house is such a milestone and I wanted to make sure it was captured both in and out!
