GoggleWorks Center for the Arts

This artistic senior wanted to photograph her senior portraits at the GoggleWorks in Reading, PA. She is a talented glass artist and took classes here throughout high school. It was the perfect place to showcase her artwork and commemorate her senior year. I love that she chose a location special to her. One of the pieces she brought along was recently featured in an art gallery! Bringing these works of art were not only important to her, but so important to her mother to have captured. I always recommend including props like this for your senior session. This could be something like a sports uniform or even a vinyl record you love.

For an easy outfit change, she wore a classic pair of jeans with her go-to sneakers. Then, she brought 2 options for tops; 1 with a pop of color and another more neutral shirt. The red top was a perfect accent color to the GoggleWorks sign and their murals. I always recommend sticking to a color palette that matches your surroundings. Location and outfit harmony is key. We decided to swap to her muted, beige top against the industrial brick walls. I was able to capture some very timeless shots with this outfit and location combination. I think the colors really complimented each other.

Who can forget the vintage yellow Mercury?! This car has been parked at the GoggleWorks for over a year. I love stopping by it for a good portrait. I think her true red top was a perfect contrast to the pale yellow car.

The GoggleWorks is a fun, unique location for any senior or couples session. Its artistic and industrial look is something you can’t always find in Berks County, PA. It was our first location of 2.
